I've dodged the ode to Fathers all over the place on Facebook. It's still Father's Day for another 50 minutes. Maybe I'll just throw it all down on my little bloggy blog.
I want to acknowledge my partner in crime today on Father's Day because he downright deserves it. He's a fantastic father and I couldn't have asked for a better mate.
Robert, you're great father and I hope our children realize how lucky they are. You never hesitate to play 'trucks' or run outside or have fun with her.
Although she has you totally wrapped around her itty bitty baby finger, you still do a great job.
It is not easy being a musician while parenting. Musicians thrive off night life, and children go to bed early. It's not always easy to get a sitter. Sometimes we just have to wait for her to go to bed to play music, which can be tough.
Our childless friends no longer understand us and/or our obligations.
You and I have had a wild adventure morphing from bar patrons to Chuck E. Cheese patrons. It's not bad and we do what we do. Still, things are different now. Your ability to go with the flow is what I admire about you. Robert, you're amazing and I love you.
Ok, enough gushing. Tomorrow I'll go back to bitching about an 'ism' or something.
Here's the card the Baby and I drew for Robert. Little Baby told me what to draw and I drew
it. She wanted me to draw her in her Elmo shirt holding her Kitty Cat...
